..... well.. i have killed both of my machines, well, both mobos anyways. And i'm am going to upgrade, but i have a tall list... So, i'm going AM2+, for sure, but i'm still undecided on an AMD chipset. I will more than likely be getting a HD4870, but no crossfire, i think my dual card days are over, at least until they scale around 50-60%. Lastly, i'm going with a Deneb when they come out and the first batch will be AM2+. SO... thats where i am right now, and on that, there are about two markets right now as far as mobos go, 1: high end SLI/Crossfire boards, 2:micro ATX.... lol, which i am not doing ether of. Right now, Newegg.com - BIOSTAR TForce TF8200 A2+ AM2+/AM2 NVIDIA GeForce 8200 HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard - AMD Motherboards is what i'm looking at, and apparently they support 140w TDP Phenoms, even though its not stated. I'm not worried about using an AMD card with a Nvidia chipset, theres no reason for alarm there, BUT, i am worried about future bios updates, as its Biostar, which is in the coalition of Bob's hardware companies (jokes). So i don't know, oh yeah, and i like nice Northbridge and MOSFET coolers, a lot, so that has that down. Yes, so so i guess suggestions are nice, or if anyone has any nice finds, let me know.
right, no one has any input then?? i think i'm kinda set on the biostar board, but i'm going to sleep on it.
I've been hearing good things about Biostar as of late. They've been a no-name brand for a long time, but they've come out of nowhere in the past year or so as a decent budget brand.
Yes, they don't seem to be so bad, but, they do however seem to have a DOA problem. Not to the point that one in two that come to you are broken, but enough that out of 100 or so reviews, two people have DOAs... Yeah, i will agree with that though, they pretty much have come out of know where.
