Currently running as follows Amd Athlon(Tm)64 3800+ at 2.4Ghz Asrock Alive NF4G-Dvi 2Gb Ram Some decent bundles available on Ebay. I was looking to spend around £250. Any advice please
i couldn't find your board, but are you looking for upgrades to your current system, or to build a new system all together?
Sorry misstype should say Alive Nf4g-Dvi. I have two sata drives Western digital 640gb + Samsung 400Gb. Creative Sb X-fi sound card + Logitech X-530 speakers. Using onboard graphics. Was looking to upgrade to Athlon 64X2 6400+ processor and new motherboard. There are a fair few bundles on ebay offering the processor + M/b +2 or 4 Gb ram. Any thoughts thanks Paul
well, the first of the two is a nicer board, but its obviously more expensive. Actually, looking over the boards, i would definitely go with the first option. The first board your talking about is a Asus M2N-SLI DELUXE right?
Thanks Swansen, I bought as follows Athlon 64X2 6400+ processor Asus M2N-SLI Dual 16XPCI-E 4Gb Ram ( Make Unknown) Expert Vision Nvidia Geforce 7200GS 512MB Pci Express Graphics Card The lot all brand new sealed Box's For £160 + Post, I hope iI got a good deal. Thanks again Paul
That looks pretty good, price is where it should be to, that graphics card isn't really anything to special, but i don't know what you plan on doing, for everyday stuff it will work out fine though.
The only game I really play is Command and Conquer Red Alert 2 and the new Red Alert 3 game is out today, So I decided to upgrade. I mainly use pc for backing up my Cd collection so I tend to play a lot of music while on Pc. I work with M/s office also and watch the odd Dvd. Ps. What Graphics card would you recommend for £60-80 Thanks again Paul
They are the same card in terms of performance, it just really comes down to which company you like better, or which site you feel more comfortable ordering from. Unless you are buying your stuff from a retailer, than the equivalent 9600 gt will work nicely. I just like those two companies. dabs.com - EVGA GeForce 9600GT 512MB DDR3 PCIE 650/1800 (512-P3-E861-AR) Sparkle GF 9600 GT SLI 512MB DDR3 PCI-E Dual DVI HDTV Out Retail - SFPX96GT512D3-HP - www.microdirect.co.uk
