Hey all i just bought a new Processor called intel core 2 due Core: 45nm Freq 2.66GHz l2 Cache 3mb Socket LGA775 E7300 PCG 6 But i cant get it to work on my motherbord.. plzz somone help My motherbord is a Asrock 775duel - 880pro
lol, there's no better way to learn than to try. Therefor I will be nice. But first off, you bought an E7300 Core 2 Duo proc. It's one of the new(ish) 45nm die procs, which means it's fairly new compared to your board. That Asrock board probably still has the original BIOS on it. First of, Asrock boards are garbage, BUT you might be able to get it to work. Update the BIOS to see if it adds support for the newer processors. Of course in order to do this you have to have another 775 processor that does already work. So put that back in, flash the updated BIOS, and then put in your 7300.
Oki opdate.. i have downloadet the newest Bios opdate.. and seams to be working fine with my old p4 proc.. But well it looks like it wont get to work with the e7300 So i today bought a Pentium D e5200 with should work i if i look at Asrock's homepage.. but i machine simpely dont boot op with the new proc in so now what the HAX do i do... really been looking for answers many places.. but really cant find anything plzz somone help
