Hi guys, i'm planning to buy this board Newegg.com - ASRock A780GXE/128M AM2+/AM2 AMD 780G ATX AMD Motherboard - AMD Motherboards to install my current 6000+. My processor is AM2 so it won't use PC8500 RAM. BUT I also plan to get these memories Newegg.com - G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory So that when the time comes and I get a AM2+ or AM3 CPU, I can use faster memories. The question is if this board is going to be able to downgrade these modules, say at 800 MHz like I always have seen or should I do something else. Thanks
yes, if we compare RAM to car tires, a tyre may be rated at 60mph, but that doesn't mean the tyre will not operate well at 40mph on another note you are aware that motherboard comes with an onboad video card, & usually onboard video card are crappy
That's the best description ever :good: [ot]However if a car has tires that are rated 60 mph, you'd better go on foot (by a matter of speaking) [/ot]
thankies, originally i erm erm erm Borrowed that analogy from B,you can ¨borrow¨ it too[ot]just ssshhhh & don´t tell B[/ot]KISS = Keep It Simple, Stupid
I have a friend that purchased an ASRock Main Board...Who will never purchase another one...It gave up the ghost within a year. Recommended tested proven...Quality Main boards are GIGABITE or ASUS.
