please help i know nothing about videocards

    Heres the thing let me get right to the point. my friend gave me a videocard it is the Geforce Ti 4200 i know its kinda old but mine is too. mine is a radeon 9200 SE.

    I do not know anything about videocards and dont really have money right now to buy a new one. so i was wondering if you computer wizes can help me on choosing which one

    Your going back a bit now with those cards!

    To be honest it depends on exactly which models you have. The radeon did a pro version which might match or slightly outdo the Ti4200. Generally speaking though, the Ti4200 would be the one to go for.

    The thing is.... there was one of the radeon cards which you could modify and turn it into a much much better card. It involved opening pipelines. It was either the 9200 or the 9500. It went from a non pro 9200 or 9500 to a 9700 pro which was a very very good card. One for the history books. If it was the 9200 and you did the mod it would be quicker than the Ti4200. I still dream of owning a Ti4200! I could only afford the MX420 :) I still want a Voodoo 6000 too!
