First post in a long time...
What's up with nVidia? Where are the GX2s? DAAMIT have the whole market of Dual GPUs to themselves, there's nothing more powerful than a 2GB (GDDR-5) 4870X2 on the market right now, so when will nVidia bring out an equivalent?

I haven't heard any information on any new "x2" cards from nvidia at all. Most likely the reason for this is the heat/power issues. It is just getting out of hand now (as you should know with the 4870x2.) A 280gx2 would require a rediculous amount of power and would create even more heat. Hopefully the days of CF/SLI on single cards is over.

nvidia is far from dead. And never good riddance to competition, cause then ATI would be able to jack their prices up.

    Dead i say :D

if not they soon will be, only a matter of time, they are loosing the battle so soon Intel will replace them and there will be a huge battle between ATi (which is AMD) against the might of Intel, it will be a glorious battle lol.

sorry i am slightly loosing it

lol they are far from dead. They still are the preferred brand of their fanboys. And just like AMD is able to stay afloat with horrible processors, nvidia will stay afloat with graphic cards. BUT, I'm sure that when the new lines come out it will all change again. This is just how it goes and will always go. And Intel is FAR from being able to compete in any graphics other than integrated. Larrabee is just a gimmick at this moment and Intel has admitted that it will not be able to hold a candle to third party graphic cards YET.

Not possible. It's just not possible. No one has the means to step in and fabricate a brand new process and be able to make it on a scale that nvidia was able to. If nvidia goes out we are screwed.
