    Which one is faster?

How important is ram speed compared to ram size?

Is one going to better in the long term?

    THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Depends. If you're not overclocking, then any RAM that matches the base CPU frequency should be fine. In general, the amount of RAM is more important than the speed. At the same time, what you do can also factor into the quantity. If you're doing more internet and office application, 8GB is well in excess. However, video and photo editing would benefit from the greater amount.

If you are overclocking, the more RAM you have tends to decrease the speeds you can hit. How much will inevitably vary upon several factors, so if that's your goal, you're going to like a higher speed RAM.

    Thanks for your post!

The computer's main use will be gaming. I don' t know alot about overclocking so I wouldn't mess with that. The model I was looking at was:

    Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Quad processor Q9550 (2.83GHz)
    8GB DDR2-800MHz dual channel SDRAM (4x2048)

    Graphics Card:
1GB NVIDIA GeForce 9800GT [2 DVI, HDMI adapter]

    OR

1GB ATI Radeon HD 4850 [2 DVI, HDMI and VGA adapters]

Which one is better? I was thinking the Radeon.

How well will this computer play the highest end games and future high end games?
