I'm in need of replacement RAM as my current chips appear to be on the way out. I've currently got 1gb and as I'm not going to be hugely into the PC gaming sector, I don't really need anymore than that, I could go for 2gb if need be but I just need something affordable.

Anyway, the advise I need is which kind to get, as my mobo is getting a little dated now, I'm wondering if any memory currently available will actually be compatible with my board? It's a Intel Desktop Board D848PMB, if you google that it'll come up with Intel's spec of the board. The memory section reads thus:
Two 184-pin DDR SDRAM DIMM sockets
Support for DDR 400, DDR 333, and DDR 266
Support for up to 2 GB of system memory

So I know from that I can have up to 2gb RAM, but does it also mean I'm restricted to only having DDR1 ram and not DDR2? Or is that not a problem? I've got a good source of memory prices from overclockers.co.uk found here:
Components ยป Memory - Overclockers UK

So what I'm asking is really, with the info I've given, can anyone help with which RAM chips I should invest in?

Thanks to anyone who can help. :)
