Works in XP, why not in Vista? (NVidia 6600LE)

    Hey, i have a NVidia 6600LE graphics card and it works really well in my Windows XP, but when i start up in Vista (Dual boot). my graphics card works but is glitchy....:(

    This happens for all of my games. is there something wrong with vista and older graphics cards?:dry:

    i've been searching google and have found absolutely no results or problems related to mine

    Any ideas whats wrong or how to fix it?

    Welcome to HWF :)

    Make sure you have installed the latest Geforce graphics drivers. You can download the latest version here.

    yeah, i've done that, same result as a older driver

    In the NVIDIA control panel, make sure that the graphics are set to Quality, instead of Performance or Balanced.

    Wow that's really lame. Are those drivers for Win Vista rather than WinXP drivers? (Sorry, that probably looks like a really exasperating question from your perspective...)

    And there was nothing about this mentioned in the support page(s) by nvidia? Usually they have some info about it if the product isn't compatible with Vista. Perhaps you could contact the nvidia tech support people? (Way better than contacting MS tech "support"...)
