Veryifing RAID

    Hello
    Im have a hard time finding answeres for the question im about to purpose.

    I have a system set up with RAID 1, however i want to check to ensure that the data is actually be copied to both drives. I cannot under any circumstance break the raid or reboot the system.

    Is there anyway to check the data on each drive? prefreable more detailed then meta data.

    Hello, welcome to HWF. We'll need some more info to be much help. What OS are you running? Also, which RAID hardware are you using?

    OS:
    Windows 2003 server
    Red Hat 5E

    Raid Controller:
    IBM serverraid 8k
    Dell PERC/CERC (model number unknow at this time)

    I'm not sure I understand. Are you telling me you have two different OSes on two different servers with two different RAID controllers? In that case, can you tell me which OS is associated with which RAID controller? Each hardware RAID implementation has a different way of doing things.

    I have multiple machines each running diffrent setups, they either 1 os and 1 card, but for clarity Im working on one with 2003 server and Dell PERC 6/i

    I doubt what im looking to do can be done as is

    That's an LSI card, rebranded by Dell. There should be LSI MegaRAID software installed on the system.
