My Dell wont boot anymore

Hi All

i've just take an old PC out of storage, Dell Dimension 3000, but i can boot it anymore, can't even boot from CD and its not even starting the screen or hard disk. I have changed the internal battery which has helps as it noe powers up which it didn't befor.

Any ideas as i'm at a lose

Sounds silly but have you checked the fuse - or maybe tried another IEC lead?

 

sorry should have said that theres power to the PC as i get the power light and can open / close the DVD drive just can gent any further than power up, nothing on screen, its very confusing

 

And the screen is a known and tested one?

If it is then it could be a number of things stopping your computer from posting, memory - graphics card etc.

Do you hear the hard drives spin up?

 

screen is fine and no i don't here the HD or see the HD light come on on the fron of the PC
