I have moved to another country and it's up to 36 degrees in my room. My pc runs 24/7 and I keep getting strange software faillures and sometimes the pc doesn't want to recognise the disk anymore, system starts freezing up etc etc. My HD was to hot to let my finger on it for more then a second so I guess this might be the problem... So I opened up the case and put a fan on it, wind going inside. I remember reading once this is a bad thing for dusk going into circuit boards or something, is this complete bullshit or not? That friggin fan is my only option...
Welcome to HWF Dust can cause heating issues when it's completely filled in a heatsink. The best way is to put some fans in the lower front to blow cold air into the computer, and a few at the higher rear of the case to blow the air out of the case. This way you get the cold air blown into the computer. The hot air and dust get immediately blown out of the computer, so that should be okay
