    i have just received a message off microsoft saying i maybe a victim of software counterfieting how can i remove it from my desktop thanks

    This means that the seucirty mechanism of microsoft (WGA) has detected that you're not running a legit version of Windows. If you do have a legit version of Windows running, it's best to contact either Microsoft or the manufacurer of your computer.

    The only legal way to do this, is by going to Control Panel > Add/Remove applications and uninstall the entry "Windows Genuine Advantage".

    There are other ways to do this, but that involves illegal procedures. And these are not allowed here, unfortunately :)

    i can`t find windows genuine advantage on my add or remove

    tick the "show updates" on the top
