Hello I was wondering if anyone could give me any tips as to what i would need to connect my PC to my TV and how to go about it. I currently have the following TV and graphics card: TV : Toshiba Regza XV 32 Inch Full HD Ready LCD TV 32XV553DB - Direct TVs Graphics Card : GeForce 9600 GSO 512 Thanks in advance
hi, just buy a VGA cable connect it to your tv at the back(vga port), then connect the other end to the vga port on the back of the graphics card (your graphics card should of come with a dvi to vga adapter) or another way, if your computer has HDMI port use a HDMI cable, connect it to your tv HDMI port and same on your PC.
Thanks for the reply Will any old VGA cable do the job or is it worth investing more to get the best quality i can possibly get? And i forgot to ask about the sound too. I assume i would have to have some sort of cable going from the sound card to the TV otherwise i would guess that the picture would come from the TV and the sound would come from my PC speakers? :chk: Thanks again
hi, any old VGA cable will do. for sound use phono leads http://www.greenhomeshop.co.uk/shop/images/Phono-to-jack-leads.jpg put single end into the pc sound card/on board sound, then put the other 2 ends into the tv composite audio ports. thats it your all good to go. the tv speakers will play the sound and also display the computer on the tv.
Thanks for the help Bobby you're a gentleman and a scholar. Ill get what i need and ill post a reply with the details on how it went Thanks again
Hi again The cables worked perfectly. My tv now displays what i am doing on the pc and the sound comes from the tv. Thanks for the help Bobby your a legend! :chk:
