Hey guys, i've been trying to solve this problem for hours now. I have the latest iTunes for Windows Vista 64 installed. All services and apps are started (Bonjour, iPodService, AppleMobileDeviceService, iTunesHelper).
Under "Devices", i see my iPhone. Once i select it i have the option to "manually manage music and videos" which is unchecked since that means i will have to drag and drop.
"sync only checked songs and videos" in unchecked.
"Automatically sync when this iPhone is connected" is CHECKED.

At the very top, under "Library", there is the "Music" folder. I had to manually drag and drop all my songs into there. Now when i press "SYNC" under "Summary" under my "iPhone"... NOTHING HAPPENS!

    WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

I got the iPhone to sync my songs with the SYNC button but i still have to drag and drop my music files into the "Music" library folder at the very top.

Isn't there a way where iTunes can manage my songs automatically? For example, if i delete a song from my Music folder itself shouldn't iTunes automatically detect it and update on it's own?

have you ticked the "Automatically sync when this iPhone is connected" option? other wise I think you have to do it manually.

    Hey Sniper!
Yeah thats been ticked... I've been transfering songs manually for a year now and im getting tired of it. I recently deleted over 100 songs from my music folder and, obviously, it would be much faster to press a sync button than to search and delete the songs from my phone...

I guess im gonna have to stick with the good ol' "delete all and re-add" method if i dont find a solution. That takes forever. Why can't products work the way they're supposed to nowadays?
