hello, i bought a memory stick (kingston 2.0 data traveler, 16gb) and i have some problems, im my pc i cant copy files larger than 30 or 40 mb, it depends, some i can do it, i use windows xp pro sp2, and i installed ubuntu linux 9.04 and the same problem happens, but i tried in other pcs and in some pcs tell me that access is denied, and in some pcs the problem doesn't happen, in those pcs in wich everything is ok i can copy files ar large as i want (i tried even a 4gb file), in windows the error is "delayed writing failure" i tried to disable write catching in the hard disk and changing my stick to "optimize for quick removal" and "optimize for performance" and it doesn't work, in linux it is simply a writing error, in other pcs simply access is denied but in most computers i can work without problem, what can i do? thanks
By curiosity, what File System does it have ? If it's FAT32 then the maximum file size a FAT32 can manage is somewhat close to 4G. If this is the case,Try the NTFS file system for more compatibility between operating systems.
the filesystem is already ntfs, but the problem still happens, when i bought it, it has fat32 system, i formatted using ntfs it everything is the same
