    Hi,

My LCD monitor is not working. I have taken it apart and found an internal plug is all corroded. I want to replace this plug but I don't know what type of plug it is and without the name of it I can't search on the internet for a store that will sell me a replacement.

Does anyone know what it is? See the picture attachment.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Thats quite a common plug. I dont think they have a specific name. Its just a 2 pin pcb plug. Usually used for low voltage power supply.

No, but PM me your address and i'll send you one.
Ive got a few from lcd screens out of laptops.

If you would feel safer buying it off me over ebay for £0.01 let me know and ill put it on there and send you a link.

Do you know how or why it is burned out? That plug will probably connect to the inverter board. Inverters often die on LCD monitors.

Ive put the plug in the post Royal Mail Standard 1st Class. It cost less than twice what it would cost me to send a letter to my nextdoor neighbour!

It only has about 2.5-3 inches on cable attached but that can be easily extended.

Let me now when it arrives. I sent another letter to Perth and one to Austria at the same time. It will interesting to see which arrives first.
