How can I make my USB "UniversalSmartDrive" work again?

While incorrectly rewiring USB sockets under Windows XP, this 64MB USB drive gave some error message at first and now the system simply no longer sees it - on any computer. I don't need the data on it, but its a handy device and I would like to use it again.

I tried the UniversalSmartDrive web site, but it no longer exists.

I'm sorry, but it's gone. You can pick up a new 2GB one for <$10 at Future Shop.

    Yes, ok, many thanks.

I guess the older flash drives were not as well protected. A recently purchased one was subjected to the same abuse but still survived.

I'll be buying a physically large one this time, so I can't miss it when I have to look for it. And something with a long narrow neck so it fits into the recesses of the front panel sockets. The recent little red one doesn't fit in some computers.
