    Hi,
My computer (Windows XP Pro ) used to hibernate just fine until recently. Now, the 'stand by' button ( Start->Shut down ) is disabled. And the 'hibernation' tab found at the power settings management option is not there anymore.
How can I enable hibernation again?

There should be an option to enable it in the BIOS. Look in your manual, it should be written.

Once that is done, make sure the chipset drivers are installed in Windows. If they are but it still doesn't work, uninstall and reinstall them.

I've already checked the BIOS settings and there's nothing that talks about such stuff. I've looked everywhere. But the chipset driver thing seems like a possible cause. I'll try that.
    Thank you.

In the BIOS, it will be under the name "ACPI ....". I don't remember exactly, I'll be able to tell you later today as I'm at the college and don't have access to the BIOS !
