I built a computer about a year ago, ordered mostly all parts off of newegg. I'm not sure on my specs, because I cant seem to find everything, and I don't really feel like looking, but if it's needed I will. I believe this is a problem with my power supply, but I could be wrong. I have a 750 W Rocketfish power supply. Running Dual SLI XFX 8600GTS video cards. Standard 500GB SATA hard drive, and an IDE DVD drive. 4GB Patriot Extreme RAM.

My problem is when I try to turn on the PC. It powers up, and turns off not too soon after. I can't get past the windows loading screen, it shuts off before it's done loading. If I try to turn it on a couple times, it shuts off before I even get to that point, sometimes seconds after I turn it on.

EDIT: When I turn my computer on, I get consecutive long beeps.

    1. Did you use thermal paste?
    2. Did you apply it properly?
    3. Is the CPU fan plugged in and operational?

I actually figured it out. Looks like one my memory sticks, and one of my video cards were both dead.

Two defective parts? That's pretty unlucky.
