I've just purchased a Lenovo PC via 'The Bay' but it doesn't have an OS installed on it. It's an ex lease one, so I suspect the hard drive was removed for security reasons. The new drive is blank, with no OS installed, but there is a Vista Business COA sticker on the side of the unit. If I wanted to install a copy of Vist Business 32 on there, what is the best way to go about doing it? Do I need to aquire a new unused OEM Vista Business DVD? Could I still use the existing COA?
If you can aquire an OEM DVD of Vista Business, you can use the product key that is attached to the computer. OEM means that the license is computer-based and not user-based.
Thanks for that info. Could I use this? It doesn't state it is OEM, but I guess it could be? MICROSOFT VISTA BUSINESS DVD FOR RE INSTALLING on eBay, also Microsoft, Operating Systems, Software, Computing (end time 06-Jul-09 12:35:28 BST)
