    Hey guys, here's my problem.
I have a Geforce GTX 260 with two DVI ports, and a 24'' ASUS LCD monitor with a DVI, VGA, and HDMI port.
The monitor came with a DVI-HDMI cord. So, i connected it as follows to my card and monitor but nothing comes up on the screen when i boot. I get "NO DVI INPUT". I only get a signal when i use a DVI to DVI cable.

    Any reason why?

You should set the Source on the monitor to HDMI, because it's now looking on the DVI port. It's usualy a button called 'Source'. If not, look in the user manual.

But you'll get the same quality when connecting it directly to the DVI port.

I have to set the source from under the NVIDIA Control Panel? (view attached)
So, using a regular DVI cable would produce the same quality as an HDMI cable?

No you set the source on the monitor itself.
And yes, dvi can produce full hd resolutions.

oh i see. well i'll just have to do that in the future then!
i'll stick with the dvi cable for now since it gives me the same quality.

    much appreciated friend.
