This is my first post so i hope you guys, and girl's can help me out.

    <<Just Some Background info>>

I had a Small Cube PC Using the above motherboard + Processor With 256 Mb RAM and a 160GB hard drive For the purposes of Downloading stuff while i was asleep. Worked Perfectly for a year, then i went off to uni.

    <<Now the problem>>

I come back, and the stupid thing wont work. When i press the power button PSU fan spins, hard drive starts up, but no image / beeps. First thing i tried was a different PSU, still no luck (And i know that one works) So i unplug the hard drive, nothing. Then i try just the board, with nothing else (No RAM, Hard Drive, monitor Nothing Just a PSU)

Still nothing, No beeps, no lights, no fire or smoke.

I have also tried re-setting CMOS (Removed battery for a day, and also the jumper reset method).

Driving me mad, I have thrown it away two times before retrieving it from the bin. Annoying thing is it does exactly what i want it to do when it worked, so it seems a waste to bin the thing unless im 100% sure its FUBAR.

Hi, it isn't posting. There something wrong with the following: Motherboard, cpu, ram, graphics card, power supply unit or cpu fan.

You've so far ruled out PSU and ram, I would now try a GPU. if no joy with the following it will most likely be a faulty motherboard. could be a corrupt bios chip. or problems with essential controllers e.g. memory controller etc.

Already tried a PCI ATI 9250 128mb, So from that i can presume its FUBAR. Any idea's on repairs? Or Finding the exact problem. Or am i correct in assuming that will get expensive

Yeah, you would probably need an oscilloscope to diagnose the problem if you haven't already identified it. Even then, if it's a chip that's fried from sagging voltage, etc, there isn't much you can do short of replacing the whole mobo. You've done well troubleshooting it down to the board, but if I was you I'd just replace it.

Thanks, I generally know what im talking about but frequently miss the obvious things, i was hoping for a "Have you put jumper x to position y" Type thing. But clearly not :(

Perhaps it would be different if it wasn't already working before. But since it was, and as far as I know you didn't take it all apart before testing it when you got back, I would think you've effectively ruled that possibility out.
