    Hey everyone,

Sorry I got kinda a problem. I dont know what to do. Here is my computer specs...

    Motherboard-Asus A7N8XE-deluxe
1 gig ddr 400 (dual channel) 2 stix of 512mbs
    AMD athlon xp 3200+ barton
BFG Nvidia GForce 7800gs OC 256mbs-Graphics card
    Soundblaster Live! 5.1-soundcard
    500 watt atx-power supply
40 gig western digital hdd (7200 rpm)
    Sony dvd-r-rw

    OK.....
my question is i play old games online and i get really bad Frame rate.
Some of the games I play...

    Medal of Honor Allied Assault
    Call of Duty
    Call of Duty United Offensive
    Postal 2 Share the Pain

Thats pretty much all the games I TRY to play but my frame rates drop below 30 sometimes below 10....

I think I have enough horsepower to run these old games but It wont run them smoothly at all. My operating system im running is Windows XP home edition.

Any Advice to get my games running a little smooter would be more than helpful and I would be more than greatful.....thanks to all who respond....

    Sincerely,
    Colby

    Sorry I forgot to mention.....

Dont know if this matters but I dont think it will be a heating issue.

My processor is running at 50c-(with a LOAD)
My Video card is running at 44c-(with a LOAD)
My Motherboard is running at 30c

Also another thing is I thought I might have run into a bad stick of ram but I ran memtest for like 16 hours and it fount nothing.

One more thing my ping in the servers I play in stays in the 50's...sometimes 40's

Like I said any help will be more than greatfully appriciated. Thanks to you all

    Sincerely,
    Colby

Temps look ok for a Barton. You could try bumping the CPU to 2.4 GHz; I ran my XP 3200+ at 2.4 Ghz for years.

What resolution do you play at? I would disable AA and AF and set your detail options to medium or low. I wouldn't try to play at anything higher than 1024x768.

You're sort of at the end of your rope on that system. The only significant improvement you can make now is to upgrade the video card. The fastest AGP video card right now (and probably forever) is the ATI HD3850 512MB. Really, I think I'd save my cash though because that card is over $100 most places.
