    get another wd caviar black and go for a raid 0 using the onboard raid, you will be looking at about 150mb/s read and write speeds. change the cpu to a socket 775 q6600 D0 stepping slarc. slower speed but excellent overclocker easily get 3.2ghz out of it with a decent cpu heatsink. other than that good sytem

    Thanks for the advice. I'll consider the processor change but I do like the Q9550

    the q9450 isnt bad and yes raid 0 is awesome but remember they do have a tendency to crap out

    If you budget allows try going for 2X4 gig sticks of ram. Filling all four RAM slots is not good for a system.

    Also 8GB of memory is overkill, 4 is ideal.

    YEah you only really need 4 [​IMG] 8 is to just impress your friends
