formatting hard disc

    hi
    I've got a new computer because my old one wasn't working and installed the hard disc from my old computer into my new computer

    the problem is when i booted up my pc it gave me the message

    Pri Slave HDD Error

    I was wondering if formatting the drive would make it work?

    And also wondering how to format it because it isn't appearing in Disc Management?

    All help is greatly appreciated

    tri formatting the drive in another machine

    the computer need to be the same to do that son you need to format and install the os again
