2 SATA HDDs to be connected to one SATA cable

    I tried to google with the pharse below :

    "two SATA HDDs connected to one SATA cable"

    but I was not sure of the naswer therefore I posted my below thread

    I have got a computer with a motherboard that has 3 SATA slots , one is connected to an optical drive, and other two are connected to two SATA HDDs.

    I want to add an additional SATA HD for a backup.

    Is there a SATA cable that has two connections and can connect two SATA HDDs (i.e similar to High Grade 80 pin IDE DataCable that can connect Master and Slave) ?

    no not at all that ive seen.... get a pci card that will allow you to do this or u can always go external
