I bought one of these home, brand new, not more than two hours ago. Beautiful thing. The (1kb) icon in Vista's explorer however, is hideous. So i found another small picture of a Mac HD, edited it in Photoshop, saved as a (51kb) .ico, renamed the current icon in hidden folder (\autorun), then disconnected and reconnected the drive. Windows now doesn't recognize the hard disk, Disk Management is unable to initialize the disk and throws up a "file not found" (not CRC) error. Please advise. Regards, Nicholas.
Guys I don't appreciate this kind of response. Yes I'm at fault but surely there must be someone who knows what to do in a forum this large a size.
Please keep in mind that this is just a community. if you want an immediate response, please use a 24/7 live chat support from the manufacturer. A damaged Autorun doesn't cause a drive to be not functional. I think that some kind of corruption is causing this. Try some other 3rd party partitioner, like Acronis Disk Director.
