Hello, below is a comparison of my computer and my friends computer:

    Friend:
    Intel Q6600 (2.4Ghz)
    2GB 600mhz ram
    Nvidia 8600GT

    Me:
    AMD 64x2 4800 (2.5Ghz)
    3gb 600mhz ram
    Nvidia 8500GT

My problem is i can only play call of duty 4 on minimal settings whilst my friend can play on maximum. Our systems are so very similar my question is how can there be such a big difference in performance?

    Thanks in advance

He has more processing cores that makes a difference and it's also down to what the system bus is set and and also wether yours and his ram are dual channel configuration. also if he has a raid 0.
