I need to find a laptop that would be able to last me through all four years all college, being able to play new games relatively well (high settings). I would prefer if this computer was larger, but it does not really matter. I currently use my computer mostly for watching Anime and Tv shows, but also various games, including some as old as Starcraft and as new as Risen. A built-in microphone would be nice, since I use Skype a lot, but I could always get a headset. While I said there was no budget, I would like to keep it to a 4-digit price. Please don't tell me to get a desktop with my money. Normally I would, but my parents are separated and I would like to be able to easily transport my computer, which is why I need a laptop. Thanks for all of your help, I really appreciate it.
Dell's Alienware! with 4 year peace of mind will set you back.....$ Well, I stopped dreaming at 4000 (four digits, no?). This will get you a Quad core CPU, 6GB RAM an HD Radeon card, windows 7 (yipeee....) so, seems like the one for you...
Supposedly there are these small companies that only sell two or three laptops that are better than Alienware, however, I could be wrong.
Perhaps, but these companies have little track records or they would be selling more.... Dell, on paper, offer unrivalled after sale care. At least in the UK. I am sure you can probably find other makes and maybe cheaper but my initial thought is always - "If I am spending so much money, I would like to have a decent guarantee/warranty".
