Hello people. I have some issues whith Award BIOS... to say true it is Award BIOS from 1998. it has the following text on chip "Award SyncMOS 253181943 F29C51002T-90PC " Can anyone tell me what SyncMOS means? I am trying to figure out my motherboard model, but all documentation lost, so as I know the last way to do so is to decrypt the numbers and words that are written on chip If you know how to find my main board model, please tell me the way. thank you for your attention p.s. It is nice to join all of you
open your computer and check on the motherboard for any model names. U can download the Everest home edition and finde it out there to.
And not only model names - any serial number and/or ID number on the motherboard itself can give quite some clues - just google them up - you'll get there, eventually.
I was in the same sitch when I was looking for the USB drivers of my MB. I downloaded Belarc Advisor for free and it did an audit of my pc. Try it, you'll find out what you are looking for.
Look between the PCI, AGP, or even ISA slots (if your motherboard has it). That's typically where the model number is located.
thanks for your replies I did opened my computer but the biggest inscription I've seen is "Super". I'm not sure if it's motherboard developer name. I can't use Everest since BIOS is dead. About model number ... There is a lot of numbers but I don't think it's what I'm looking for.
