Via USB 2 PCI adapter probelms - HELP!

    I have added this into a PCI slot - Via VT6212L which is a 5 port USB 2 high speed PCI adapter.

    I have XP service pack 3 - when i start the computer the card does not install / work but I do gte an error message saying USB hub controller not installed / data error. Is there a driver somewhere although I thought iut was plug and play.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Did try this with no joy - I am banging my head against the wall! Thanks for the suggestion - I have now taken the card out - so still without USB 2 capability.
