So I was wondering if anyone could give me some help/advice for this. When I turned my computer on today the keyboard and mouse are not working. I tried every USB on my computer and it does not work. I tried them on the PS/2 and made sure they were the were the right color,etc... and still didn't work. I tried them on another computer they work on either USB or PS/2 so I know its not the peripherals. I tried another set just in case and still did not work.

A few things I noticed also. I plugged them in while the computer was off and once I booted it, nothing would show up on my monitor but the Caps/Num/Scroll Lock lights would blink. If I plugged them into USB everything booted fine but keyboard and mouse would not work still.

I just noticed also that my power supply is making a high pitched sound when the computer is on and off. It will only stop when unplugged or when the switch is off on my computer. Also, remember I cannot access any bios or cmos settings because none of my peripherals are working. I already tried.

Any help/advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

The last thing u can try wireless keyboard and Mouse as u had stated the that ur powersupply is making some awkword noise why not try with changing ur powersupply. Frankly I had never faced any problem with this regard.

    Thanks
