Hey, just installed my brand new seagate barracuda 7200.12 hard drive and it's not 7 hours old, yet all "smart" programs tells me it's already having issues with errors and health/fitness. Is this something I should worry about? There's no clicking noises or anything but it's quite odd that a brand new drive is already reporting these issues - My 3 year old western digital was clicking and coughing up blood yet it scored better than my new drive.

After some more googling, it seems it's quite normal with seagate drives.
Just to be on the safe side I did a complete scan of the drive with seatools and it came up with 0 errors. People at seagate also recommends ignoring smart for some reason.

Anyway the drive works just fine so I guess it's not an issue after all =)
