This just started a couple of days ago, I believe it's coming from the PSU but it's hard to exactly locate. Games and such still runs rock solid so nothing wrong there. It goes away whenever there's hdd activity or heavy cpu tasks running.

Also I just checked Speedfan and found something odd.
Notice the -5v and -12v, is it supposed to look that way? I have no idea myself as my knowledge on PSUs is rather limited :)

What could happen if I just ignore it? I'm not really in the mood to replace parts but if something serious could happen, such as frying my entire system, then obviously I'll need to replace some parts.

    Thanks for your time.

Well it seems I'll have to replace it - It has been running for 3 years now and has performed quite well. It's an LC Power Silent thing as far as I remember.

I will be replacing it with a Corsair VX550W which I hear great things about as the high pitch whine from my current PSU is really getting on my nerves :)
