Hello I have purchased a 16 Gig USB stick. My question is I use this USB stick very often. I have got appox 8 Gig used. I thought it would be useful for me to back up the data on the USB to my spare computer upstairs which was very easy to do.

Every time I add new files, photo on the USB stick and then I want to back it up again I have to go through the process of backing the entire data even though I have added small files at work.

Is there a way to just go back to my spare computer and just add the new files?

How do you perform your backup now? Do you use some operating system supplied tools, 3rd party tools or simply copy the files by hand?

As much as I know, there are all kinds of backups available - incremental and stuff, which work in a interesting way that the whole data is not being always copied, only the files that have changed since the last backup run.

I think that most backup software is configurable to recognize USB sticks as self-sustained HDD's and back them up anyway.
