Laptop display goes dark

    My laptop display goes dark sometimes.
    i have compaq Pressario v6608 Au model. please help me ....?

    is it happening when you move the display?
    when the display is shacking?

    the display is not shaking. but it goes dim after few minutes it turned on and slowly it becomes dark.

    Thats 100% a hardware problem....
    Can u still see the picture when the display turns dark???

    The lighting tubes in your LCD or related hardware is dead. I had this happen. Also, can you set the display to lowest brightness, wait some 20 mins and set it back to max? Should be same as booting your comp.
