When i connect my creative 5.1 Card memory dump occurs. What might be the reason. Is there any way to solve this problem? On removing the sound card system is working fine. But on plugging it back, the windows loading screen comes and displays memory dump.

    System Configuration

    Intel i3-540 3.07GHZ
    Intel DP55WG motherboard
    2GB DDR3
    Nvidia Geforce 9400GT 1GB DDR2
    Creative 5.1 Sound Card
    2 x 320GB HDD SATA
    DVD Writer
    450W PSU
    Windows 7 Home Premium

When i install the drivers for the first time memory dump occurs. When it occur it gets restarted and am not able to login unless i remove the sound card. Then memory dump comes again and again after the windows loading screen. Then when i remove the sound card am able to login and it works fine. Is this the problem with the RAM or problem with the sound card?

Memory is 2GB DDR3 Kingston and this is a brand new machine.

    Welcome to HWF :)

If it only occurs with the sound card, then that's the cause of the problem. A memory dump is performed when a crash (BSOD) occurs. This could be caused by a malfunctioning device driver. Your best bet is to identify the precise model of the sound card and install the latest device driver from the Creative website.
