    Hey everyone,

I'm building my first HTPC and hoping someone around here can help me! :)

I've been doing research lately and feel that I can build what I want for between $500-$700, obviously the cheaper the better, but I don't want to have minimal performance.

I'm going to be loading XBMC on there I think (unless everything thinks WMC or Boxee is better?).

    - Wi-Fi card (n preferably for HD streaming but not necessary)
    - 1TB storage, with other HDD slots available for upgrade
    - Cable/Tuner card slot (do not currently need one)
    - A nice looking case- found this one, but if other nice ones are available please show them to me!
Newegg.com - nMEDIAPC Red Wood Wood/Steel HTPC 8000 ATX Media Center / HTPC Case

    - I will be playing very few games on this (SNES and NES roms)
    - OS will be a Linux variant
    - Also as for a DVD drive or BR-drive, I don't really need one as I have a Ps3 for my Blu-Ray's, but would want to back them up and play them off my HTPC evevntually.

If I'm missing anything please fill me in! I'm hoping to put together a solid list of parts I need so I can just order everything at once and put it together in an afternoon!

    Thanks for everyone's help! :)
