Hello HF members, as this is my first post here :)

I had some serious problems with "Ikari Steelseries" computer mice
    [IMG]

First thing, I noticed a strange thing opening links with middle click, when randomly opened no 1 link in a new tab, but from 0 to 5 or 6 tabs, from one click... Ok, I stopped using it anymore... While in games, I still got angry, when I could click that button 10 times, getting no response or being released at unwanted situation...
After a while, I noticed that left click does the same thing... I had enough and I got some other mice, soldered a micro-switch out and replaced it with left click one... First day, It looked like problem solved, but after that... problem remained...
I noticed, that other side of PCB board, soldered connection places about 60% of all connections, was covered with some strange... Liquid? Or something else, cause I could not wipe it off with alcohol.
So, conclusion is that, strange liquid is giving interference between connections on board...
Friend gave me an MX518, as he said, only problem was in wiring... As cable connections was same with Ikari, I took Ikare cable, switched wiring same as on old MX518 cable... But forgot to write down Ikari cable wiring...
So, turned out, MX518 is broken, it shows "unable to detect what usb device that is"... So...
First thing, if anyone can help me find any user of Ikari, who could give me correct wiring (colors of wires inside mouse, where main cable connects to board), or any documentation, that could give me those...
Second... Can anyone tell, what is that strange liquid? It looks almost same, as battery leaks... This mice was present for me, I used it carefully, no such a liquid could possible get inside it. Only sweat of my palm or anything other, from my hand... But that stuff is hard... At open places, I used dremmel with soft branches, and it took that stuff off from board, leaving no marks... But I cant do it on all places...

SteelSeries replaced mouse, after I sent them it, and they confirmed fault. Now I have new mouse, and I enjoy it fully! :)
