I have been wanting to convert my vhs tapes to digital so that I can preserve and store them in a dedicated external hard drive. I would appreciate recommendations as to what works better with Windows 7. Thank you in advance.
I've never done this myself but something like this should do the job, plus it looks relatively cheap Magix Rescue Your Videotapes 2.0 (PC CD): Amazon.co.uk: Software If this will be one off process, I'd check the local electronic/video shop to see if they offer a VHS to digital service!

Thats a shame, the amount of tapes probably explains it, assuming each one is 90mins, it adds up. Its probably best to use a DIY kit like the one mentioned above.
You are right. I don't need them right away anyway. I can do them one at a time and if I get pro, maybe I could do it for others for an extra income.
