So, I was wondering if a Team Dark Xtreem 2GB DDR3 1600MHz CL8 stick of RAM would work in an ASRock 890GX Extreme3 Motherboard? I obviously intend on getting two of them. Specs for the RAM are: Team Dark Xtreem 2GBx2 DDR3 1600MHz CL8 Includes 2 x 2 GB Memory Modules PC3-12800 1600MHz 8-8-8-24 Operating Voltage: 1.65V (for i3/i5/i7) Xtreem - Dual Channel Pack 128X8 DDR3 Chip Dark Grey Heat-spreader 8 Layers Ultra Low Noises Shielded PCB 240pin, Non-ECC, Un-buffered DIMM Specs for the motherboard should be easy find. Many thanks.
Yes, I don't see why not, unless the motherboard is known to be picky about the memory. motherboard site ASRock > Products > 890GX Extreme3 QVL Qualified Vendor's List http://www.asrock.com/mb/memory/890GX Extreme3.pdf list of memory modules they have tested. (This won't be a complete list but buying one of the listed ones should work just work).
