If your power supply fan is not working then look for it to burn out real soon, If you are going to spend money on a new motherboard and parts, then I would really think about
replacing the power supply as well..

i also highly recommend to get a new psu. as ghostman said, the old one is bound to die pretty soon and the new parts would be far better off working with a shiny new (and quality strong-enough psu) power supply. Besides, are you sure that the old one is even capable of powering the new setup?

long story short: scrap the old one and get a new!

Make sure not to cheap out on the new PSU you buy too, or else you'll end up in the same situation again.

Ha, I couldn't help but chip in my own exprience after reading the title to this post.
A while back my PSU was making too much noise so i decided to remove the fan. 30 minutes later... well, you know what happened.
