I'm currently building a computer and I need a monitor and I want to make sure I get a good one. I'm on newegg and I'd like to buy an asus lcd 23 inch. They all have lots of reviews and all of them positive. But it appears that most of them look exactly the same with very similar specs. I'd definitely want one with HDMI. I really want a good contrast ratio as well. Can anyone give me a specific model that they prefer/would suggest? ALSO, acer just came out with these LED backlight LCD monitors...something like 12,000,000:1 contrast ratio. No reviews on it yet. Anyone heard good things? As you can tell by now, I'm lost lol. So, review. Looking for an asus lcd montior, 23", good contrast ratio/frame rate, HDMI, expecting to be paying anywhere from $180-$250. Thanks in advance!

Any monitor with similar specs would pass. Just go for the cheapest one... This rule applies to monitors since the only factors you should consider when buying a monitor are: make, response time (ms), size, built in speakers, and size
