Hi, I'm a tech newbie for the most part and was seeking advice as to what to upgrade. I'm on a budget and can probably only spend $200 on upgrades. I have no idea what is important when it comes to gaming (besides the video card). Could you take a look and let me know what you would reccomend upgrading if I only had $100-$200 to spend. I just bought starcraft 2 and was hoping to play it on somewhat decent settings. Here is a link to my PSU specs. Monitor: Samsung 2494SW Screen Size 24" Widescreen Yes Recommended Resolution 1920 x 1080 Newegg.com - lenovo IdeaCentre H215(0893-1AU) Athlon II X2 215(2.7GHz) 2GB DDR3 320GB Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit I zoomed in on the pic as well and the PSU is a 280W Thanks in advance for your help.
If you plan on getting a video card (which you definitely should cause no integrated stuff is capable of any decent gaming, especially when the speech is turned toward very very recent games), then do certainly change your PSU, too. A 600W 80+ rated would be a very good thing leaving room for some improvements later on, maybe. Besides the video card, you should get more RAM. At least + 2GB of it.
I've seen various combo deals on PSU and Graphics Cards. You should upgrade both. 280 watt is not enough to sustain most discrete graphics these days. Also you need to upgrade your RAM, I recommend 4 GB total minimum.
