I have a Shuttle XPC which identifies itself as an ST20V10 (although most websites only list the ST20G5 as the closest match) with an FT20V10 motherboard. It has 2x 0.5Gb DDR RAM and an AMD Athlon 64 3500+. Ideally I would like to keep the case, power supply, drives, etc, but need to upgrade the processor and RAM (without throwing away the current RAM just to buy more DDR, since there are only two slots). This means a motherboard upgrade but I can't find any information on what might be compatible. Shuttle seem to mostly sell systems now instead of components. Any advice? Many thanks, John
This is considering that you want something more than Std Def movies and internet browsing abiliy: That system is old, and buying additional DDR will be much more expensive than buying brand new DDR3 memory modules - and they are much faster than DDR. Scrap the system, man (cause you have to change the mobo, cpu and ram anyway - that's absically a new PC and besides you'll be able to use the old HDD's, DVD drives and all perpipherals anyway).
