GA-945GCM-S2C Compatible with E8400?

    If it is? Can I overclock it to 3.6 ghz :D?

    The E8400 needs a 775 socket type and according to the specs I found that is the socket type for this mortherboard. So I would say yes it is compatible. Not sure if you can overclock the processor that high, but I guess you could try :O I have this processor but I run it at stock 3.0ghz on an evga 790i motherboard.

    Google, much? Okay, there you go.

    You can overclock the cpu to as much as you want to, main thing is to do it slowly and with a lot of stability testing + 3rd party cooling.
