    Hello Hardwareforums!

Currently, I am looking for an upgrade to my GPU. I am currently running:

    Mobo: Asus P7P55d EVO
    CPU: Intel i5-750 2.67 GHz
    RAM: 2x2GB G Skill PC3-12800
    PSU: 750w Corsair
    GPU: ATI Radeon 4850

I was wondering, looking at the new GForce 580, that thing is a beast. However I'm not sure if my current setup would just be bottlenecking the 580 if I were to get it. Currently everything is running at stock speed (RAM auto-downclocked due to the i5s support for RAM speeds). However, I am capable of overclocking the processor/RAM (not sure if RAM would even bottleneck, not sure how much the speed matters there).

Main question: Would the 580 be bottlenecked on my system with overclocking taken into consideration? And then in turn, what would be the best suggestion to upgrade to for the GPU?

I dont think any GPU can be bottlenecked by any CPU, RAM, or MB speed... all GPU performance depends on the PCI-e port you install it in. The rest (CPU, RAM speeds...) just allow for a better/faster gaming experience. Your CPU is pretty good. Your RAM is also pretty good but another 2GB stick wouldn't hurt.

p.s. - go for NVIDIA's new GPU's. They have Fermi technology, a big step for NVIDIA.
