    Hello,

I am new to this forum, and I am also new to computer hardware.

I am building a new computer to play games, and I am trying to keep the cost as low as possible.

Here is what I am thinking right now:
    ---------------------------------------

    Motherboard:

ASRock M3A770DE AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard

    Newegg.com - ASRock M3A770DE AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard

    CPU:

    AMD Athlon II X3 425 2.7GHz Socket AM3 95W Triple-Core Processor ADX425WFK32GI - OEM

    Newegg.com - AMD Athlon II X3 425 2.7GHz Socket AM3 95W Triple-Core Processor ADX425WFK32GI - Processors - Desktops

    GPU:

    ZOTAC Synergy Edition ZT-20303-10L GeForce 210 1GB 128-bit DDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

    Newegg.com - ZOTAC Synergy Edition ZT-20303-10L GeForce 210 1GB 128-bit DDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

    G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL

    Newegg.com - G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL

    Hard Drive:

Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST3250318AS 250GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

    Newegg.com - Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST3250318AS 250GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

    Case w/Power Supply:

Linkworld 43715-128FU+P04 Black Steel MicroATX Mini Tower Computer Case 430W Power Supply

Newegg.com - Linkworld 43715-128FU+P04 Black Steel MicroATX Mini Tower Computer Case 430W Power Supply

    --------------------------
    1. Are they compatible?
    2. Am I missing anything?
    3. Do I need anything extra for cooling?
    4. Suggestions?

This build cost around USD$266 right now.

Thank you for reading & Have a nice day!

Simple build. To answer your questions:

Yes, all your components are compatible with one another.
However, you're missing a few things:
    1. A cooling device and thermal paste. A lot of OEM products such as the CPU you chose come with no additional tools or attachments. That's why these websites post pictures of the item with no box and just show the CPU (even though the item is new). So, you'll have to buy a paste and cooling device (cpu fan/heatsink) separately. It'll cost you another $30 or so. Instead, you should just add another $15 and get the non-OEM version of that same CPU. It includes a cooling device and the thermal paste is pre-applied. Here's the link.
    2. A CD/DVD drive. Any SATA CD/DVD drive will do.

Get the two items above and you're set. I would make some suggestions but judging by your build you seem to be on a budget so i don't know what to offer... but i would suggest this:
ASUS M4A78LT-M AM3 AMD 760G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard. Has 6 USB ports and built in heatsinks for better cooling. Also, it comes with an integrated ATI 3000 . Now it's obviously not the best video chipset out there and you certainly can't play high end games with it, but you wouldn't be able to do the same with the GeForce 210 you included in your build. My advice: drop the 210, get this board. It would be a much better build and all at an extra $10.

    Let us know your verdict
