    Hi,

I looked up the manual for your system board and they do not list that brand in the qualified vendors list. It doesnt mean it wont work, but in the manual it says to only install ram with the same CAS latency. Are you trying to install just the 1GB stick alone or are you matching it with one of the other sticks? Usually if you have RAM of 2 different speeds, ie PC 3200 and PC2700, if the ram is able to, it will operate at the lowest bus speed to match the other one. I'm wondering if the 1 GB stick is not able to run at the lower speed, if you are pairing it with the 512mb stick. I would try to boot with just the 1GB stick alone. If that works, try it with the 256 stick to see if that will work. Certain kinds of RAM need a certain amount of voltage to run as well. You should check the specifications of your 1 GB stick to see if it needs special voltage. If it does, you should be able to increase the voltage in the bios, but be careful, because if you have one of the other sticks of ram installed, they may not be able to take the increased voltage. Just try it with the 1 GB stick alone to see if you can get it to work.

    Hi,

I checked the user manual for the system board. Unfortunately it doesnt show of any way to change voltages on this particular board. Usually it can be done in the BIOS but not with this board. However, there is a way to setup the CAS latency on the board using the bios. Its possible that if the board isnt automatically configuring the ram to the right settings, it will not work. The first thing you need to do is find out the settings for your model of RAM. You should be able to find it on the manufacturer's website. Then, go into your BIOS and follow the instructions in the manual to make the configuration changes. This is the manual I found for your system board www.cizgi.com.tr/resource/vfiles/cizgi/pms_file/164/p5pevm_en.pdf The section of the manual you will want to check out for this is chapter 2.4.2, where it talks about configuring dram timing by spd.

If this doesnt work, then I do not think the RAM is compatible with the board, unless anyone else has any more suggestions? :( There is a list of certified ram in the manual that you can look into to buy as Asus has certified them to work in your system board. I would try one of the 1 GB sticks they have listed if you cannot get this RAM working.
